YOUR TRAINING
BASIC – Basic training focuses on skills such as flexibility, muscular conditioning, and cardiovascular development. Primarily, this level of practice teaches blocks, kicks, punches, stances, history, philosophy, courtesy, and basic Japanese language. This gives the student a good foundation from which to advance to more complex and demanding training.
INTERMEDIATE - Intermediate training begins with the deeper study of kata (forms), self-defense techniques, advanced kicking and punching, prearranged fighting, free-fighting, and basic kobudo (weaponry).
ADVANCED - Advanced training entails the study of kata in great depth, advanced weapons training, execution of hidden techniques, and awareness training.
JUNIOR – Special emphasis is placed on the character development of our younger students. Much of their training is directed toward mental and physical discipline, self-reliance, personal responsibility and self-esteem.
